The Icelandic garage band Carnivore was formed in 1992 and was active until late 1994. The band members, aged 14-15 years old at the time, were influenced by death metal bands such as Death, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Rotting Christ, Dark Throne and Paradise Lost.
Barely knowing how to play their instruments, they started writing their own songs and practising almost every day for the next 2-3 years in Einar's (the drummer) garage.
The outcome was a demo tape cassette which has now been re-recorded using today's digital technology. Although the songs are over 25 years old, they have aged well and by re-visiting this music made so early in our lives, we appreciate this trip to the past and hope you will enjoy it too.
